Olive TwistSituated in the hilly hinterland of South Gippsland, Olive Twist olives enjoy all the sunshine and rain this rich agricultural land has to offer. Our olives are a mixture of Greek, Italian and Spanish varieties that are hand picked and cold pressed within 24 hours from harvest. Olive Twist farm and retreat is now run by husband and wife team George & Julianne Bakogiannis. George grew up on his family-run farm in Mildura and was out working with neighbouring families learning the trade and driving a tractor at the young age of 8 whilst Julianne left her sheltered life back in the UK to backpack at the ripe old age of 30. Finally after 6 years of backpacking whilst fruit packing, their paths crossed and they both retreated back to the country where olive twist was born. Now both in their 40s and with a young toddler, they're taking the knowledge learnt from George's Greek parents using some of old traditional ways to not only provide with you best Extra Virgin Oil but they are moving forward to bring you exciting new flavours of the same top quality. |
